I came across this app by pure accident and I am totally in love – seriously!
Ok, it sounds a bit over the top, but it’s a really cool app. I’m a total media hound and already have quite the collection of iPhone apps and accounts all over the web, so when I came across Pixable and read the description “Pixable is your photo inbox. It finds the top photos and videos shared by your friends on Facebook and Twitter. Now with the ability to hashtag photos and enabled for iOS 5!” I had to give it a try.
I got to admit it lived up to it’s rather generic yet enticing description on iTunes. I’ve been using it for a few days now and not only is it a really great way to find pics on Facebook and Twitter it has quite a few neat features like hashtags. I also really dig the way it categorizes all my pics: Most Recent Photos, Top of the Day, My Likes & Comments, New Cover Photos, to name a few. It also creates categories based on Facebook information like what networks I belong to – very cool. It’s not only a iPhone app however, you can also access your “photo inbox” through your browser by going to Pixable.com and if you are already logged into Facebook, which I always am, it generates your gallery instantly.
I hope in the future they add support for other services like Instagram, Google, etc. Go check it out for your self and look me up
